My Bridal Portraits!

Y'all, I felt absolutely gorgeous on my wedding day.  I loved my dress.  I loved my veil.  I loved everything.  I was on top of the world and so ready to walk down that aisle to Philip.  But first, I did some bridal portraits.  ;)  Unfortunately (or fortunately), Howie got some trouble from me.  You see, I was so excited that I couldn't stop smiling.  So, I had some awkward photos where Howie wanted me to look more serious or give him a "soft smile" but all I wanted to do was grin like an idiot!  But, thankfully, Howie was able to get some wonderful shots.  Again, these were all taken in and around Bube's Brewery

See what I mean about trying to be serious?  My MIL likes this one but I think I look like I'm out of it.
Can't help but smile!
This was supposed to be my "soft smile" but again, it looks kinda goofy because I'm trying to hold in my excitement!
I love this one.
I think this one looks so elegant.
I love this one... I just wish there wasn't an exit sign in the background!
I love the bright colors in these.
People have told me that they really like this one, but I don't.  I actually hate it because it doesn't feel like me.  When Howie did the editing, he did something to my eyes.  They don't look like my eyes.  Maybe I'm just weird.
So, there you have it.  I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out.  I felt glamorous.  I am so glad that I chose this dress.  It just felt perfect.  I loved the pearls and the Baby's Breath bouquet.  It was fairly simple, but I just felt elegant and beautiful.

The guys...

My girls weren't the only good looking part of our wedding party.  Philip's groomsmen looked pretty sharp, too.  Here they are in all their glory:

I'm very pleased with the ties that I picked.  They looked sharp and were good quality (especially for $9.95 a piece!).  I think the guys looked handsome.  I don't regret not going with suits or tuxes.  I like the simple look we went with.  :)

The Ladies...

My girls?  They are GORGEOUS.  Want proof?  Take a gander at these beauties.

These ladies were beautiful at my side.  And I love that the Baby's Breath bouquets looked so great with their dresses.  Speaking of which, the bridesmaid dresses were perfect.  They are Alfred Angelo 7056 in navy with ivory trim.  I'm so glad we went with them.  The sashes were actually made by my mom.  She did a fantastic job.  They look like they were made for that dress!

Philip Gets Gorgeous...

Unfortunately, Philip's best man couldn't arrive until the morning of the wedding.  He was arriving at an airport about an hour away from the wedding site.  Also unfortunately, his arrival was about the time we were scheduled to begin getting ready.  Philip's groomsman went to pick up the best man at the airport, so Philip was left to get ready on his own.

Those last pictures are of Philip's uncle Dave helping him tie his tie.  Philip doesn't have a whole lot of opportunities to wear ties so he doesn't know how to tie one.  In the past, I've played around with the tie until we figured out a knot that looked halfway decent.  Fortunately, Dave has a lot more practice than us!

Philip wasn't alone in his inability to tie a tie though.  Dave had to help my dad tie his tie, too!  I don't think that my dad has ever worn a tie!

So, now we're both dressed and ready to go.  Up next, we're ready for our close-up!
