I've discussed my slight obsession with pomanders. Well, I have another: paper lanterns. I love the idea using them to decorate the ceiling. I know lots of people use just a few, but I want to use a LOT. I've gotten a bit of inspiration from my good friend, Google (image search!).
I don't want the lanterns to hang down so low, but I do love how full they are! It's beautiful.
I don't like the tablecloths and chairs, but I love the lanterns in this photo. I want my lanterns to be more full, but I like the different shades of white/ivory on the lanterns and the varying sizes. That's what I want to do. I want to have more lanterns than in the photo, but I want them in varying shades of white/ivory and possibly gold or bronze. I want some to be small and some to be large. I think it will be gorgeous.

These are really pretty Tara! Curious - if you go with the tent at D&M's, I'd think it may look really pretty hanging one down in the center for a "chandelier" approach - and if there would be a way to incorporate some navy blue lace/ribbons also hanging down with the lantern.. hmmm! What do you think?
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, I'm not getting notifications when you comment on my blog! The chandelier look is something I've considered, too! I'm still at the point where I've got wedding planning ADD. I see something and say, "ooooh, I like that, too!" Eventually, I'm going to have to figure it all out.
