Very early on in my wedding planning, I came across this post from Genevieve's Wedding. It's about a photo scavenger hunt. I really loved the idea, so I knew I'd end up making one for our wedding.
I tried multiple times to put one together, but I just didn't like the way it looked. I was trying so hard to make a TON of things fit on the list and then it would only work on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. I didn't want a whole sheet of paper sitting out at each place setting and I also didn't want to mess up the feng shui of the centerpieces by adding one to the middle of the table.
So, this project went on the back burner of my mind for a while. Then I came across this:
I love the combination of fonts. I knew that I could just do something like this:
...except with the I Spy cards instead of menu cards. So, I went to work. I knew I could get them printed for free on VistaPrint if I played my cards right.
Sure enough, I got an email for 50 free rack cards. So, I took the dimensions of the rack card and made an I Spy card in Publisher. Here's what I ended up with after much tweaking:
I was able to use a bunch of different fonts while still keeping quite a few of my original list items. I am happy with it. Oh, and I got all of my fonts from www.dafont.com, just in case you were wondering!
I haven't placed my order yet. I still have a few other things to add to my order first! But, I'll be sure to upload photos when they arrive!
